USPA Tournaments Continue
Aloha everyone!
Last week we all enjoyed some of the most exciting polo of the season at the United States Polo Association sanctioned Governor’s Cup, and the USPA tournaments continue this week with the Master’s Cup.
The next two weeks are the highest rated matches, with an 8-10 goal tournament handicap. This is fast and furious polo, and HPC is proud to host the following visiting players:
- Kimo “The Poi Pounder” Huddelston. Originally from Maui, Kimo resides in San Diego and plays professionally in CA.
- Herman “The Hawaiian Hurricane” DeCoite, voted MVP last week, is a Maui based veteran pro who has traveled the world playing polo.
- Kaaina DeCoite, also originally from Maui, currently plays professionally in Aiken, SC. Kaaina suffered an injury last week Friday, so we’re wishing him a speedy recovery.
This weekend is also the Haleiwa Arts Festival. For those of you from town, this is a wonderful event featuring extremely talented artists. Your perfect day would begin with attending the festival, then heading over to Mokuleia for some heart-pounding polo.
We’ll have Good Juju Cafe serving various tacos, and another new vendor called Paletas Hawaii. Paletas are locally made ice cream fruit bars with a Latin origin.
After the trophies are awarded, Jive Nene, one of our most popular bands, will rock you into sunset.
As a reminder, HPC is also hosting a catered BYOB dinner under the stars next Friday, July 25th. Chef Harding will prepare locally inspired delicacies, and the cost is just $30 per person. This dinner will be served around 7PM after the end of the tournament game. This is an excellent opportunity to watch exciting polo, and mingle with the players over dinner.
